1. Silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide products are hard, with a Mohs hardness of about 9. It is a hard material among non-metallic materials, second only to diamond.

The normal temperature strength of silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide products are high, and at a high temperature of 1200-1400 ℃, the strength and hardness can be maintained for almost the same time as the normal temperature. With the different use atmospheres, the safe use temperature can reach 1650-1750 ℃.

The thermal expansion coefficient is small, the thermal conductivity is higher than that of silicon carbide and other products, it is not easy to generate thermal stress, and it has good thermal shock stability and long service life. It has strong creep resistance at high temperatures, corrosion resistance, extreme cold and extreme heat resistance, and oxidation resistance.
